Service User Representation Needed

At the AGM in May we elected a new Executive committee. SPN is committed to securing  a balance in its Committee members of service users, carers and mental health workers and ensuring that we are broadly representative in terms of ethnicity and gender.

We are seeking people who would be willing to consider being coopted to strengthen our representation from service users and those from a BME background.

So what’s involved?

* To provide oversight, challenge and transparency to SPN staff’s work

* To share knowledge on good practice

* To ensure a diverse range of stakeholders inform the Network’s work

* To promote improvements in mental health services

Members are expected to attend at least 3 of the 5 Committee meetings a year. They are encouraged to identify topic interests and where appropriate to take lead responsibility for the delivery of a workplan theme or topic. Members are expected to support study days and take roles on the day as requested eg rapporteurs

Size of Committee;
